1.9 -Process Journal #3

Discuss the process of work with your team. What challenges are you having? What IB qualities are the member of your team exhibiting in positive manner ? What IB Learner qualities are you team members still working on developing ? What is your greatest strength a team member? What areas do you need improve on to make you better team member ?
  1. I feel like that my team and i are working together very well. If one need help and you ask the next team person , can have .
  2. The only challenges that we having right now is to make should that ourhave great understanding also making it look like game that in store all ready.
  3. Also we all have understanding of everybody job.
  4. I believe our greatest strength a team member risk-taker, communicators,caring ,balanced and knowledgeable
  5. We need little work on reflective and thinker .

1.8-Desgin Justification

Which design did you and your team decide to us the game? Why did you chose that particular design.

Well my group did not decide on one person design. Well believe that should have told little details of each one of our designs to relate our designs. The reason why we chose it this away because we all have great ideas also something look after us. Meaning something that remind us of us individual. That's how we come up with our design.

1.2 - Design Task

A short statement of intent which indicates the end user, purpose /function ,theme and possibly material.


I am design a game for the 6th grade that attend Thurgood Marshall Academy. The game have to favorite a subject in school. The subject that i favorite and that i am using for my game is math. i am designing board game. The game to help the 6th grade have better understanding simply math. Went I say simply math I mean divide , multiply , addition and subtraction. After playing this game about 3 to for time they will be would have to use paper it will just come to them.

1.7c -Possibe Design

My game board will be 7 by 7 that means 7 going vertical,7 going horizontal, and 7 going across. The color of my game will be orange and black as well as the chips to give it a Halloween theme.The font of my game board will be Arial black. At the top will be the title of the game which is "Mystery". For each column there will be multiplication,addition,division,and subtraction problems. Also In my board I will have clues for the students so if they need help for an answer they could use the clues. For example if they don't know was 3*2 I could give them a clue saying if 3+3=6 then 3*2=? each column there will be multiplication,addition,division,and subtraction problems. 1.7b-Possible Design

At the top of the board in big blue bold letters is the title of the game." Mystery" There is little boxes all over the board with math problems in them. The colors I used are yellow and blue. I choose these colors because yellow is a bright color and blue is a common color that mostly everyone likes. The good thing about my board is that my board is well organized. Also it has good colors. The negative thing about my board is that it’s not enough boxes on my board.

1.7a-Possible Design

Issatou board is 7 by 7 , which this mean 7 going down and 7 going arrows. At the top in BOLD red and black letter thats where "Mystery" will be. Around the board game in yellow they will be clues how to solve the divide,addition, subtraction,and mulitip. The problems will be in BOLD red Italic. Some positive to my board game it going to make student have better understand in math also faster to get the answers. Also my colors repevation mystery color. My team is taking different elements for each three design. For my design we using 7 by 7 and the colors red and back and how the top of board going to look , Ronnesha where are using the color yellow and Jose we are using the clues around the board game to get hints.

Yes I would give all my member on my team the same score because work as team. I believe if we going to fail we going to fail together and if we going to pass we pass together. I say that because there no "I" in team. We work as one, if is not on task then the next member should make sure they are on task. One thing i can do to improve our score is try not to get off topic or talking about things that have nothing to do with the subject.

My Score For My Members Is 5 .

My Score That I Give For Myself Is 5 , Because sometime i get of topic wild I am working.

2.Briefly describe how your game work, What is the objective of the game?
To get Four Up, Plot Four, Find Four, Four in a Row, and Four in a Line , its a two player game .
3.Were the ruler clear ? if not what made them hard to understand ?
The rulers where every clear.
4.Was the board attractive ,colorful etc.?
The board is blue and yellow and the little round things that go in the board are red & black. There are seven rolls and seven columns.
5.What is one positive element of the game.
One Positive element of the game is to have your eyes open so you see what going on around you.
6. What is one SPECIFIC thing that can be improved? EXPLAIN
I believe nothing should be improved it good the way it is.
